Shop policies
Every effort is made here to make clear how we operate.
This should be read prior to making any purchases so there
are no misunderstandings further on in the processes.
1. The prices stated on the web site, considering delivery
is included, are very competitive and reflect the overhead
savings we are making in offering these goods for sale
over the internet. To enable us to keep these overheads
to a minimum the preferred means of contacting The Exotic
Furniture Store (EFS) is via email using the Contact Us
link.
2. The Exotic Furniture Store (EFS) web site links with
PayPal to provide secure credit card payments. At the checkout,
once the required delivery information has been gathered,
the buyer is transferred to the PayPal web site for the
payment process to be completed. This provides total purchaser
privacy because the PayPal site handles all the credit
card entry and validation.
3. The prices shown on the web site are inclusive of delivery
costs anywhere on the U.K. mainland. Any refunds however,
if goods have been delivered will exclude delivery costs
at £40 per trip incurred irreversibly by EFS.
4. Orders placed on the web site will be included in the
next manufacturing and delivery cycle and could be up to
8 weeks. However, if any items are in stock they will be
delivered with 10 days and if any items can be fulfilled
from stock in transit then delivery could be earlier than
the stated 8-9 weeks.
5. Once an order has been placed and accepted, an Order
Confirmation email will be sent to the email address given
at the time of ordering.
6. Within the next 3 days, a Delivery Notification email
will be sent giving the best estimate for delivery.
7. If orders are cancelled at this stage, before
the goods have been despatched, a refund of the monies
payed will be issued. Cancellation
requests must be sent by email quoting the original OrderId
Number and
preferably containing the original Order Confirmation details.
Refunds will be made within 7 working days of receiving
the request.
8. Once the goods have arrived in the U.K. and are ready
for despatch, the courier will contact the buyer on the
telephone number given to arrange a suitable day for delivery.
9. If the courier loads and attempts to deliver the goods
on the arranged day but the Buyer isn’t present to
receive the delivery we reserve the right to charge the
customer £40 per extra attempt at delivery.
10. All goods go through a quality control check before
leaving the factory. They are also checked and re - packed
with bubble wrap before being passed on to the courier.
If the goods are damaged then they should not be accepted
from the courier.
11. If for any reason the Buyer wishes to return the goods,
he has 7 working days in which to notify us of this via
email. We will contact the courier who will then contact
the Buyer to arrange pickup, The Buyer will need to re-package
the goods, preferably in there original packaging and bubble
wrap. Once the goods have been returned and received in
good condition a refund, less a) the cost of delivery
to you at £40
per item and b) the cost of pickup and delivery back to
us at £40 per
item, will be credited via PayPal to the card originally
used for the purchase within 7 working days.
And the legal stuff
Any typographical or clerical or other error or omission
in any sales literature, quotation, price list, acceptance
of offer, invoice or other document or information issued
by EFS shall be subject to correction if required, without
any liability on the part of the Seller.
If any provision of these conditions is adjudged invalid
or un-enforceable in whole or in part the validity of the
other provisions of these conditions and the remainder
of those provisions in question shall not be affected.
If EFS is for any reason not able to deliver the goods
ordered by the Buyer then any sum paid by the Buyer will
be refunded or re-credited to your account and EFS will
notify you at the address given by you in your order form
and or via electronic mail. The refund will be made as
soon as is possible and, in any event, within 10 days of
the reason becoming apparent and EFS will not be obliged
to offer any compensation for disappointment suffered.
